On Tuesday, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman had a meeting with representatives of trade unions of coal sector employees, relevant ministries and the Presidential Administration.
The parties discussed the ways to support and develop domestic coal industry.
Other participants in the meeting were Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn, Minister of Social Policy Pavlo Rozenko, etc.

Groysman noted that the most important task today should be the redemption of debts, inter alia wage debts.
The Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament advocated adoption of the strategy on development of coal industry with clear volume of investments and support to the sector and miners.
The parties agreed joint position touching the opportunities to pay wages to miners and adoption of draft laws aimed at the settlement of the discussed problems in the sector.
